Human Hair In BCAAs? Well, at least not ours.

By now we should all know that BCAAs are important for recovery after training if you are active in the gym. But there is more to them than what they do. How about what they're made of? Maybe we should all put a little extra thought into that since we are putting them into our bodies.

What Other Companies Aren't Telling You:

Most of you don't know exactly what makes up branch chained amino acids (BCAAs). Well, most companies don't want you to know that they make their BCAAs with human hair, duck feathers and animal fur. Yuck! But why? Well, because it is cheaper for them to put those type of BCAAs in their formulas since they cost less to produce. They don't want to spend the extra money to provide you with a Vegan BCAA like we do. We spend the extra money to make sure you are not ingesting hair and fur because that's just....uh, gross.

How You Can Tell The Difference In BCAAs:

If you want to know what type of brain chained amino acids another company is using, there really is not a way to tell unless they are using a trademarked product that must be listed on their ingredient panel. When you see a ™ symbol after a product ingredient then you can do research on that trademark since the company who makes the trademark, most likely has a website describing their product. We are very transparent about the BCAAs we use and we list it on our panels that way you know and can do your own research on the quality of BCAAs you are consuming. Faktrition buys their amino acids from one of the biggest importers of BCAAs in the United States. We are one of the first companies to use Instaminos™ in a BCAA formula. The unique, active ingredient in InstAminos™ is Instantized BCAA, a customized blend of three essential amino acids—Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine—proven to stimulate mTOR for protein synthesis required for healthy muscle growth and recovery.

Why You Should Take BCAAs:

Shortens the time your body needs to recover after physical exercise

    • After an intense workout, the muscles tissue in your body becomes fatigued and must repair itself. During the process of muscle repair, your body needs protein and thus amino acids (what comprises protein). Without amino acids the body cannot repair itself fast enough and this is why our "soreness" can sometimes last longer than we'd like it to.

Improves your overall performance inside and outside of the gym

    • Most people don't know that we get a small amount of amino acids from food that we already eat on a daily basis. However, this amount is not nearly as much as we can get by supplementing them with a BCAA formula like BCAA CMPLX. If you have never taken them before, you'll notice that when you do you will have more energy and better performance in the gym. This is because BCAAs serve as a reserve fuel source for your body during a workout.

Stimulates protein synthesis in the body and muscles to enhance muscle growth

    • Out of all the amino acids, Leucine is the one that plays a large role in how the muscle utilizes all the amino acids you supplement into your body. It basically kick starts the the body and the amino acids to work together to repair and rebuild muscle. This process is known as muscle protein synthesis and it is crucial for lean muscle growth. The more muscle your body has the more calories the body can burn.

Reduces the rate at which the body breaks down muscle

    • When the body lacks proper nutrition and supplementation is begins to go into survival mode. What this means is the body will begin to break down muscle for fuel and it will also store fat for energy. This will cause dreaded weight gain.

    Current Good Manufacturing Practice:

When it comes down to buying BCAAs, rest assured that there are plenty out there for you to choose from. But you need to ask yourself what separates all of these BCAAs? There are two things to look for: what's in them and how they are made. All of Faktrition's products are manufactured in a CGMP certified facility.

CGMP refers to the Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations enforced by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). CGMPs provide for systems that assure proper design, monitoring, and control of manufacturing processes and facilities.
